    We stay on Friday 28th July. Even before we arrived the hotel was very helpful in that we may arrive very late and they said they accommodate that. Then from the moment we arrive till we left the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and bed linen clean, had tea/ coffee making facilities, Air conditioning. Breakfast was first class, plenty of choice including cooked breakfast which was hot. Overall could not fault anything, first classes. If we were that way again would have no hesitation in staying there again.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Weekend Stay – Excellent Service All Around! We had a fantastic weekend stay at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham. From start to finish, the service was consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The reception staff were excellent, especially Narinder and Anthony, who were both incredibly helpful and professional. Anthony stood out in particular for his efficiency, and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. A special mention goes to Eva from housekeeping, who was looking after our room. Her friendly and cheerful attitude honestly made our day. Not only was she warm and approachable, but she was also incredibly helpful, going out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. It is rare to come across someone who brings that kind of positivity and care to their work—thank you, Eva! The bar staff were equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and respectful, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We were also very impressed by the chef at breakfast, who went out of his way to make sure our special dietary requirements were fully met. It’s small details like these that make a big difference. All in all, an excellent stay with standout staff across every department. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Birmingham.

    Super clean room. Child friendly activities to do whilst waiting for dinner. Large choice for meals. However, it would be nice to not watch the sad news with children present. Breakfast tables need to be cleaned quicker as the turn around was rapid as there are so many single diners. Swimming pool was ideal for families. Max depth 1.25m.

    Formal Complaint Regarding Service and Facilities – Holiday Inn Birmingham M6, JCT.7 Dear IHG Customer Service Team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding our recent experience at Holiday Inn Birmingham M6, JCT.7, a property under your IHG group. My family and I, along with a group of families from Oman, are currently staying at this location while attending a dance competition in Birmingham. We booked our stay with the trust that the IHG brand represents a certain level of comfort, professionalism, and service. Unfortunately, our experience has been far from acceptable. Our concerns include: Non-Functioning Air Conditioning air conditioning in our rooms is not working. When reported, hotel staff informed us that there is no timeline for repair — no apology, no offer of alternatives, and no effort to provide temporary relief. Lack of Essential Amenities There is no refrigerator in the rooms, which is highly inconvenient, especially for families traveling with children. This is a basic amenity expected from a Holiday Inn. No Lift or Luggage Assistance The hotel does not have an elevator and there are no bellboys to assist with baggage. Guests are expected to carry their own luggage up flights of stairs, which is unreasonable, especially for elderly guests and those with heavy luggage. Unprofessional and Rude Staff Behavior The night shift reception staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. When we raised our concerns, we were told bluntly that “nothing much can be done” and were met with an indifferent attitude. This was not only frustrating but deeply disrespectful. We are not the only guests experiencing these issues — multiple families traveling with us have faced the same problems and received the same dismissive response from staff We are requesting: A formal apology for the service failures. Compensation for the discomfort and inconvenience caused. Immediate escalation of this matter to senior hotel management. Review of this property’s adherence to IHG standards. As loyal guests and international travelers who chose IHG in good faith, we feel extremely let down. We urge you to take this matter seriously and ensure action is taken, both to resolve our current experience and to prevent this from happening to other guests in the future. We look forward to your prompt and professional response and quick response as we’re traveling with small kids for competition.     Absolutely terrible experience at Holiday Inn Birmingham M6 JCT7. I booked a standard double room via Expedia (£120.65), but when I checked in at 9 PM, I was given a tiny single room. The manager claimed this was a “UK standard double” – a complete lie. The air conditioning didn’t work, and reception told me to just open the window because no maintenance was available. On top of that, the bathroom only had one cup and one towel set – clearly not prepared for two guests. From what I saw, the hotel was busy with a wedding, and I strongly suspect they gave priority to wedding guests while pushing late arrivals like me into leftover rooms. Instead of admitting it, management chose to mislead me. Dishonest, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I would never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.
