The Old Library, is a dynamic, functional meeting space in the heart Digbeth, Birmingham’s creative quarter. You will find our venue just ¼ mile from the city centre.
This beautifully restored Victorian building is the last of Birmingham’s five original Free Library’s opened in 1866. Located next to the Custard Factory complex, the venue is an interesting alternative space for your meeting or event. Within the venue we have our main space and smaller space the Reading Room, then in our parent building Zellig we have Zellig 210, another smaller meeting room. The Zellig building is a hub of creativity complete with sculptures, unusual architecture and quirky reception. Our friendly team look forward to working with you on your next event.

November 2024Amazing!! We recently held our wedding at The Old Library and it as perfect. From our initial viewing of the venue to the actual day, the team were wonderful and incredibly helpful. The team kept in contact over email, answering any questions we had. We then had three meetings leading up to the wedding, Rebecca and Laura were incredibly thorough, and ensured our day ran smoothly. The room itself is gorgeous, with high ceilings and natural light. It is a blank canvas that you can do so much with. Honestly could not recommend enough!
