About Venue
Welcome to Pier Court; a stunning, multi-functional event space located opposite the iconic Brighton Pier on the seafront.
Built on the site of a former 1920s hotel, the recent refurbishment of Upstairs pays homage to its Art Deco roots with original stained-glass windows and exposed brickwork, complemented by warm teak panelling and modern flashes of colour. From the custom-built Ohm sound system to the diamond-polished shell floor, every detail has been carefully designed to create a unique and spacious venue full of character and light.
The tasteful décor and versatile layout of Upstairs provide the perfect backdrop to curate your ideal wedding celebration. Whether you’re planning an intimate, sit-down soiree or a casual BBQ and bottoms-up party, Upstairs can be hired on its own or alongside our live music venue Downstairs to create a seamless day-to-night experience.
Our seaview accommodation has been newly refurbished and can host up to 30 guests, including the Penthouse Bridal Suite.
Choose dry hire at Pier Court to create your own vision, or let our dedicated team craft a full package for you. From world-class bands to interior stylists and cake makers, we’ve partnered with the very best in Brighton to ensure every element of your event is delivered to the highest standard.

It's dark. It's sweaty. It's claustrophobic. It's absolutely perfect for a night of music and meeting new people. The staff were great, the bar well stocked as far as I could tell, I was drinking orange juice and soda. I travelled from the opposite end of the country in Lancashire. I wasn't disappointed

Epic! Went here for a day rave. The upstairs is large, consisting of a bar, small dance floor alot of tables and chairs. Downstairs leads to a club. It feels like you're absolutely away from reality and even though it was during the day it was pitched black in the basement. A great experience and I'd love to go back

A bit old school! Lots of steps in and out (Basement), very dark but cosy.. name list on entry and Hand Stamp! It was my first time there and it was over the Mod weekend at Maze & Purple Hearts Concert so it might have been intended on taking us back to our old Disco/Club days - if so it succeeded! 😆👍

was there for garage day party. this subterranean venue is compact and intimate, mainly student crowd. ID req'd, bag checks and body search... all a bit intense tbh but I guess it might be necessary. The sound was proper, and you feel a real connection with the Djs. MJ Cole was VIBES. Glad we went.
