Goldbrick House

Me and my partner booked to go to the Albert bar Saturday at 5:30. When we got there we were told we could not go to the Albert bar anymore and got told we could only stay in the main bar which had no atmosphere at all. It felt as if they were not allowing people to use the room due to a big booking coming later- they did not want to have to clean up the room again. The staff were very unapproachable and made us feel quite uncomfortable as they told us that we would have to leave as our booking ended in an hour … even though we never got the room we booked for? The drink was okay but only ordered a Guinness and a small cocktail and the place was silent so wouldent expect a long wait. As we left, I said thank you but received no response and silence. Would really not recommend this place and it’s a shame as we received such good reviews. I feel there’s no point going unless you hire a room.

This place is super pretty and I was excited to visit. Me and a friend went and the majority of the rooms were booked for events but we finally found one room that had available seating. We proceeded to both order Bellini's which cost £9 and sat down and before we even got to start drinking our drinks a group of people came in saying they had reserved that table and a couple others so we had to move. There was no other available seating so we were forced to stand in the hallway and finish our drinks. We were not able to enjoy ourselves. The staff at the bar did not put signs on the tables or tell us that we would not be able to sit there. Terrible experience, utter waste of money
