The hotel was very clean and nice. The staff were helpful and amazing. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were great. Very tasty and well prepared meals. The hotel is conveniently located near the station and very easy to get to. I will definitely visit again.

I didn't stay there but I had a situation that shows how supportive and accommodating there team is. I booked through booking a nonrefundable one and when I reached there I discovered that the date is WRONG . They tried to find me a room but all were booked. The receptionist Mr Josh was so kind to refer me to 4 nearby hotels and I was able to find a room in one of them. Moreover they accepted to refund full amount despite it was my mistake . There location is awesome. They are in centre and couple of min away from station and city centre

Great hotel for what we paid (£140 for double room ) which included one of the best buffet breakfasts I've had. If I'm being picky my only small complaints would be 1.small selection of drinks in the room. 2.Poor reception/signal on the TV. Those small things aside my stay here was brilliant, it's in the perfect location 30 seconds from the city centre. The staff were excellent, providing local knowledge of venues ,restaurants and directions etc. The rooms were spotlessly clean and modern looking as was the bathroom.

I stayed at the Clayton for a solo birthday trip to explore Cardiff for the first time. I would say overall I enjoyed my stay and would likely return in the future. For me the main benefit was location. It’s right in the city centre so lots of opportunities to walk to lots of touristy places. It was also a 2 minute walk from the Cardiff central station car park so as I drove it was easy to get to and from my car but also convenient for anyone who is arriving by train or wants to see more of Cardiff/south wales via train. I ate at the restaurant the first night and I would say overall it was satisfactory for a hotel restaurant but there are loads of close by restaurants so I wouldn’t let that deter you from staying there. The room itself self was nice, I stayed in an executive double room on the 11th floor at my request. The bathroom was quite small but fine to use. The bed was comfortable. The sky box is quite dated and I struggled to access a few channel but it wasn’t a big deal for me. The staff were lovely, I asked for extra chocolate pods for the coffee machine in my room which I got and although I missed it they were offering ice lolly’s as it was a super hot day. I piece of feedback I would give is of the requests I made 2 were not met but they may have been my oversight. I asked for no room service but someone did come into my room to clean it. I didn’t put the tag on my door to say no room service but because I requested it as an add on I didn’t think it was required. Also i requested the 15% off food but this was not honoured - I probably could have just re-confirmed this with staff but I didn’t at the time. So it might be helpful to have some clarity on the optional extras and if customers need to do anything to ensure they’re honoured.

4/5 Pleasing Nicely furnished room with a comfortable bed, wardrobe, iron, ironing board, smart TV, fridge and coffee station. Room service available from 11am till 6am. Great dining options in a walkable distance. St David's shopping centre, John Lewis, the brewery quarter, Cardiff bay and Mermaid Quay also within walking distance. A relaxing city break.
