Another Place The Lake

Popped in here after using the lake side sauna - what a beautiful hotel and location. I stayed for a coffee in their bar lounge - lovely coffee and staff. Will definitely be back. So many facilities on site , fabulous family/solo/couple Lake District base

Another Place in the Lake District was honestly unreal — one of those rare spots that hits the sweet spot between cozy and breathtaking. The views of Ullswater from the hotel were absolutely stunning, especially in the mornings when the light hits the lake just right. Aayushi, served up one of the best meals we’ve had in a while — thoughtful, warm, and full of flavour. Lily, who managed our stay at the brackenrig pub made us feel instantly welcome with her easy charm and genuine care. She was amazing! And Richard, who works at the Sheep Shed (the hub for all the outdoor activities), was incredibly helpful — got us set up for kayaking, wild lake swims, and more! Between the adventure outside, the warm pub inside, some intense beer-fueled game nights, and the quiet corners of the library, it was the perfect escape for our family. Can’t recommend it enough.

We had an amazing stay at Another Place, beautiful setting, delicious food, and such a restful atmosphere. But what really stood out was the genuine care from the team. A few days after we got home, I realised I had left behind my hair straightener and a few personal items. Not only did they find them straight away, but they’ve sent everything back first class the next day. That kind of service goes beyond expectation, and I’m really grateful. Thank you so much you made a great stay even more memorable.
