About Venue
Built in the 17th Century and currently in the process of being restored to its former glory, Kirklinton Hall sits on a 12 acre site that features a beautiful part-walled garden.
Also in this stunning garden is an orchard, nuttery, quince grove, Japanese Garden, bog garden, duck pond and palace, pigs, a yurt and gypsy caravan. A scented rose maze and rose terraces surround the Great Hall and the herb garden is utilised by the resident herbalist for traditional herbal cures.
Take a walk through past the dragons through the woods to the Faerie Glen following the path down the side of the beck and the cascades of water. Relax at The Captain’s Seat, where you can sit and enjoy the tranquillity of nature and see the rock carving of the Faerie Princess’s face. Once done, come back to the café for a lunch made using the garden produce or a slice of cake with tea and coffee. Pick a trug full of produce from the garden or buy some of the plants we’ve grown to take back to your garden.
The striking 17th-century Hall has been adapted and transformed with flooring, heating and lighting. This restoration enables the space to be utilised for ceremonies, drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts. The large area has a bar and there is a pro kitchen for caterers

The Eskdale Gardening Club had a perfect visit today lovely food, service was friendly, well organised, then Jess gave us a tour with some of the history about the hall. The roses are amazing June was definitely the right time to visit with the club. Would highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem.

Stayed here in 'The Tower' Guesthouse for 4 nights as part of a holiday. Decorated beautifully and finished to a really high spec. Felt very spoiled inside. You can see just how breathtaking the scenery is from other reviewers' pictures but as a staying guest you obviously get he luxury of having the place to yourself when the cafe goers have left. Couldn't recommend staying here more!
