About Venue
This striking Category B listed pink sandstone church was converted into a theatre in the 1960s and over nearly 50 years has gained an established reputation as one of Scotland’s leading non-professional theatres. As well as being home to many of Edinburgh’s amateur theatrical companies, it is a popular venue for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
This space can accommodate rehearsals, meetings and parties.

Lovely theatre. Went to watch our niece take part in beauty and the beast and thought it was a lovely venue. Like the bar/room under the theatre where the cast came out to meet the public after the show.

Great spot for family theatre, we were there with our 4yo kiddo and he enjoyed the show a lot. Be aware, no parking space in the theatre parking except for disabled but there are free spaces nearby during the w-end.

The Churchill offers a cosy theatre experience, retaining some original features and a charm that can lack in more modern buildings. Tends to be pricey for drinks and snacks, but in line with other similar venues. Seating can be challenging for tall people, like me as it gets quite uncomfortable the longer you're squished in.

Lovely, cost, intimate theatre. Plenty of toilets for the ladies and bar area is nice, lots of seats and refreshments. Sounds was very loud! Only thing is outside, the steps have a metal strip along each of them and everyone was slipping on them in the wet. Quite dangerous for those not steady on their feet.
