Myself, my wife, daughter (9) and son (6) had a fantastic stay recently. Celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday, on arrival to our room we were greeted by a selection of beautiful chocolates and a birthday card from the staff. Room was top class, breakfast was excellent. Pool was very enjoyable with the kids. Location is brilliant for exploring. Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. 5*

It was fantastic! The service really stood out. Fernando was incredibly kind and made sure we were happy with everything. He was so professional and cheerful! Also, the bartender Annie was amazing. She was super friendly, gave great recommendations, and made the atmosphere so enjoyable. Thank you to the team for making our night memorable! I highly recommend this place and will return soon.

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Edinburgh Centre. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices and great quality, perfect for enjoying a proper Scottish breakfast. It was also very reasonably priced.A special thanks to Magda, who was extremely friendly and professional, showing true recognition and care for guests throughout my stay. The service staff were all very kind, attentive, and quick in cleaning up the tables, which made the dining experience even better.The reception team was also very welcoming, making check-in smooth and pleasant, and they were quick to assist with any questions I had during my stay.Thanks to the entire team, my experience in Edinburgh has become even more memorable. I truly appreciate everyone’s efforts and hospitality.

One night stay here before going to the theatre to see War Horse. Very welcoming staff in every part of the hotel we used. Food including dinner & breakfast was good, fresh & hot. Bonus was being able to park under the hotel. Very central & no hesitation in recommending.

Hmmm, no. While the hotel is indeed in a superb location, and the rooms will be clean with all the expected mod cons, you might find some staff to be less friendly or accommodating than ideal. Annie at front desk is an exception. She was lovely and helpful. However, bartender person might as well have just told us to leave now. And. Do NOT send laundry out at a per item cost—so £10 for your PJs and £4.50 for socks (compare at £25 for a full bag in other hotels) or you’ll be skint soon enough.
