Established on a former horse-riding school, the Playfair Building, named after William Playfair, stands as a notable landmark in Edinburgh. This venue offers a variety of rooms available for hire, suitable for meetings, conferences, weddings and private dining experiences. The Playfair Main Hall is a heritage-rich venue where the AV system has been carefully designed to balance aesthetics with functionality. The space features a 16:10 ratio remote-controlled drop-down screen, supported by a portable NEC laser projector. Sound is delivered through a QSC PA system with four corner-mounted speakers, while up to six handheld and lapel wireless microphones can be provided. A lectern with two wired microphones is also available, along with a digital PTZ camera to enable live streaming.
