About Venue
Established on a former horse-riding school, the Playfair Building, named after William Playfair, stands as a notable landmark in Edinburgh. This venue offers a variety of rooms available for hire, suitable for meetings, conferences, weddings and private dining experiences. Each room is adorned with portraits of renowned surgeons from history, showcasing their individual contributions to the field of medicine. The Building features The Playfair Hall - a magnificent room with a glass cupola ceiling, beautiful architectural detail and decorated in soft muted colours, with large windows on two sides of the Hall.
The Fellows Library is not only a functioning Library for Fellows & Members during the day, but also evolves into an exceptional venue for networking or meetings after 5pm. This elegant room boasts a wonderful ambience, featuring a striking portrait of Joseph Lister, the trailblazer of antiseptic surgery, displayed above the fireplace.

Success is sweeter when it’s shared. Victories are brighter when celebrated together. And no achievement means as much as looking over and seeing you there, proud, supportive, and smiling. Winning tastes good. But winning with you by my side? That tastes even better.
