We were originally in the basement with a view of rubbish bins but were moved up to room 1 with a spectacular view of Dean's Village. This place is a gem. Fantastic service and a beautiful place to stay in a location that makes it easy to walk to the castle (15 min walk), Dean's Village, dining, shops, etc. The library is stunning and we retired here to read every evening after dinner - this was a highlight of our entire Scotland trip! The breakfasts were delicious with a terrific variety.

Beautiful hotel, they catered amazingly for my coeliac i got a full gluten free breakfast every morning fully catered for!! Thw rooms were all clean and lovely however we didnt get a view as we were in the basement rooms so that was a small shame but the views from the breakfast restaurant area was beautiful every morning and the distance was short walk to the center we will absolutely be staying here again

We managed to book a room last minute, though unfortunately at a relatively high price. A parking space was made available to us for an additional fee of £20 per night at the neighboring Bonham Hotel & Restaurant. The rooms themselves are best described as plain and dated, but there is a beautiful library on-site. Although the breakfast was cooked to order and served warm, the quality was nothing to write home about. If you are looking for an "okay-ish" hotel close to the city center, it’s a viable option.
