May 2025A complete self guided tour of the ship, top to bottom. An excellent audio tour device is included. An excellent opportunity to see how the Royal family of the United Kingdom lived in the ship. We were fortunate to visit during the week when former crewmen were, as volunteers, performing maintenance on the ship. Their personal stories were the most insightful and interesting part of the visit.

April 2025Well this surpassed our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed the visit and even had an impromptu cream tea, which was delicious. Access to so many areas and a true insight to how it was maintained and run by the many staff and sailors. Plus fascinating to see where and how the Queen and her family enjoyed this beloved yacht. Also had fun counting the Easter Corgis and got a special badge for getting it correct ☺️ Worth every penny and highly recommend.

May 2025What a wonderful experience! It's a time capsule of grandure and family. It's a self guided tour using a handset. Push relevant the number and listen. It's incredibly interesting and sometimes amusing. The staff from start to finish were courteous and helpful. There are lifts and ramps everywhere so accessibility is brilliant. Gift shop at the end had some very nice thing, and although not cheap, it wasn't break the bank either. The tea shop on board was excellent. Staff were amazing and the food was delicious! Can't recommend this Yacht highly enough. The people who are keeping her tip top condition are a credit to the profession.

March 2025Loved this visit. There is so much to see and a great experience of how our royal family travelled. A well organised route to take, we didn't use the tea room, but it did smell nice, helped you imagine what tea would have been like. Wasn't overcrowded, and I loved feeling like the captain of such a magnificent yacht. I decided against the audio as I love to read more and take in the images. My wife loved the audio. Overall a lovely day had.

June 2025Beautifully preserved and full of charm, the Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh is a rare glimpse into royal life at sea. Each deck feels like walking through history—with elegant rooms, polished brass, and lovely little details that show how the royal family lived and entertained. The audio guide is excellent, and the tearoom on board is a treat. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Edinburgh.
