Just back from a lovely weekend stay for my birthday. The chocolates and card in the room were such a nice touch. Hotel was so nice and clean, perfect location and the staff were all so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The grand café is a beautiful setting for dinner and brunch, highly recommend it. The rooms are so spacious, well equipped bright and welcoming. The bed was huge and so comfortable. I will definitely be back

Our stay at the Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh was exactly what we hoped for — a wonderful experience from start to finish. We chose the hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and the team truly made every effort to ensure we felt special. The hotel itself is beautiful, with historic character that has been very carefully preserved. Staying in such a distinctive building is a unique experience, and its history as the former home of The Scotsman newspaper adds a special charm. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile, Princes Street, and many of Edinburgh’s main attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. A special thank you to Greg, whose kindness and attentiveness made a real difference during our stay. We would gladly recommend the Scotsman Hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh, and we truly hope to return again in the future.

We had our wedding breakfast and reception at The Scotsman Hotel, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better venue. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely out of this world — so attentive, professional and genuinely friendly. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond, and so many of our guests commented on how amazing the team were. The food was incredible. Everything was beautifully presented, delicious, and served seamlessly. It really added to the whole experience and made the day feel extra special. A huge shout out to Nathan, our events coordinator, who truly pulled out all the stops for us. He was so helpful throughout the entire process, always quick to respond, reassuring, and nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly thanks to him. We felt completely looked after and able to just enjoy every moment. The Scotsman Hotel played such a big part in making our wedding day perfect, and we are so grateful to the whole team 🤍

We only stayed one night but it was a fun hotel. Our room was absolutely gorgeous and the location is hard to beat. They also had a bottle of champagne and a nice note congratulating us on our anniversary. The one negative is that the chairs, couch, and throw pillows on the bed all had stains on them. I don’t think that’s acceptable for a hotel of this rating. I would stay here again, but not at the price we paid.
