About Venue
The Mansfield House Hotel is a family run hotel offering luxury en-suite accommodation and is dog friendly. The original house which was built in the 1800’s as a private residence, has been refurbished to create a traditional Scottish atmosphere.
Dining is available in our fabulous Amarone Thistle Restaurant with our award-winning head chef Fabrizio Portella, Pheasant Bar or private dining in the Thistle Lounge. Our Pheasant bar offers a place to relax and is stocked with a vast selection of whiskies, ales and lagers, and we have an excellent selection of wines.
Function suite is available for hire per day and comfortably holds 200 guests.
Free WIFI is available throughout the property and ample parking is available on site.

Absolutely beautiful hotel - like staying in a Scottish castle! Staff incredible…the lovely gentleman on reception who greeted us and indeed looked after us throughout our visit was so kind and so welcoming. We stayed in the tower room - stunning views and beautiful bed with outstanding quality linen. We dined in the restaurant for dinner again faultless…wonderful food prepared with care and presentation was skilled. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. It’s a quiet and restful place with lots of grounds to explore

Excellent meals here, the portions were more than ample and absolutely delicious. Great service, warm, cozy atmosphere. The style was a little eclectic with a mix of every era you can think of, but it was a great talking point. The dining hall has some stunning original features. In summer this place has a gorgeous outdoor space, we will be back.

Our 2 day stay,fulfilled a much needed break. The food was lovely, with a relaxing bar, and a quirky dining room. The staff, were very attentive and welcoming and definitely enhanced our stay. We would happily stay again. Many thanks to all the staff involved.

For a night's stay costing £200 (2 people), you would expect much more. The small room and completely outdated and old/worn furniture defy description. It also took forever for the water to heat up. What's more, the whole house was rather cool. Nowadays, a beautiful house alone is not enough. It is clear to see that nothing or very little has been invested here. What a shame.
