4 of us had Friday drinks here , then 3 of us dined, enjoying the evening sun al-fresco, (but under cover) in the rear garden. Good value, very tasty and very well presented food. And a big shout out to the team, especially Phoebe - who went over-and-above the call of duty looking after us; exemplary table service, courteous, articulate, personable, patient and hospitable.

Cute and quaint country pub, evening food served from 5.30pm and we ate 3 different dishes; fish & chips, pie of the week and pork belly and all were equally delicious! Highly recommend for a drink and bite to eat when in the area and we’ll be back next time we visit the roald Dahl museum.

Slow service- we were informed of this before we ordered so that's fine. Took a long time to get our drinks but they were busy. After drinks were delivered we didn't see another waitress. We waited for nearly an hour before starters were served. These were cold but no one to complain to. Another significant wait until the mains came out. Food clearly left under a lamp. It was hot but needed a steak knife to get through the pie crust. The mash potato was inedible. Clearly powdered mash- you could tell by the texture, powdery taste and strong smell. Wouldn't recommend.
