Having previously been disappointed with the Sunday lunch, we tried the BBQ menu on a Wednesday and it was miles better. One consistent theme however was the excellent staff and service. Our waitress, Bella, was extremely good on a busy night and kept us informed around wait times on food. Drinks were served quickly so we didn't mind a small extra wait on a busy night. I would stress that the service is by no means slow and we were more than happy with the timings. I would rather the Cross Keys is busy and we all wait a little bit longer. This pub has suffered over the years from a too rapid turnover of landlord, really good to see the latest incarnation making such an effort to provide the village with a genuinely welcoming and fun place to drink, eat and socialise. It feels like a proper 'hub' pub for the village again which in the current climate is to be commended. We will continue to visit and enjoy.
