About Venue

Our warm and welcoming brasserie and pub in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, harks back to its roots as a coaching inn. There are cosy nooks aplenty for a quiet pint, as well as a beautiful airy restaurant for dining.

We are famous for our monthly changing set menu, as well as our extensive a la carte selection and our fabulous party menus. Our chefs cook everything from scratch in the open kitchen (which also adds a little theatre to the proceedings). In the summer months, our hidden courtyard is the perfect suntrap for al fresco dining with a chilled glass of our bespoke bubbly.

We really are proud of the diversity our pub offers and we cater for numerous special occasions including wedding receptions, birthday parties, corporate events and much more... we look forward to discovering in which and how many of the ways that the Highwayman will become your perfect fit.

Another excellent meal for a birthday celebration. The cheese souffle as a starter and pistachio souffle as a pudding are signature dishes which never disappoint, truly delicious. Service was excellent, can highly recommend it.

Really Lovely place. Dog friendly in the bar area, great selection of drinks and lovely varied food menu The Australian Chardonnay is stunning!! Steak pie was beautiful (albeit the greens a little overcooked) The veggie shared board was also very nice! Can’t fault Good job guys
