Exemplary service. Really made us feel welcome at every level and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The spa and afternoon tea were both the best we have experienced in the UK.

Beautiful county side of the UK. Enormous property and fabulous hallways and room. It feels like you are staying in a museum or an old castle/manor house. The experience is absolutely stunning. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Also great for kids, they gave our son a goody bag with stickers etc.. Dinner at the Forest Brasserie which is a nice short walk from the East Wing where we were.

Staying at Ashdown Park Hotel was truly an unforgettable experience. To spend a couple of days in such a historical mansion, surrounded by elegance and beauty, felt like stepping into another era. The sheer size, unbelievable history, and thoughtful design of the building are breathtaking. Everywhere you walk, you can sense the charm of the past blending seamlessly with modern luxury. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was excellent. Every staff member we encountered treated us with respect and genuine warmth. A special thanks to Domenic at the reception desk, who went above and beyond to help us. Our original room felt a little small for our needs, and without hesitation, Domenic offered us an upgrade. His professionalism and willingness to ensure our comfort made a big difference in our stay. That kind of attentive service truly reflects the quality of this hotel. The grounds and views surrounding the property are absolutely spectacular. The backyard alone is worth visiting as a tourist attraction, let alone experiencing it as part of a hotel stay. If this estate were simply a site to visit with an admission ticket, I would gladly pay. Having the privilege to call it “home” for a few days was remarkable. Dining at Ashdown Park was another highlight. Every meal we had was delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and an excellent variety. The breakfast buffet, in particular, stood out for its generous spread and exceptional flavors. The leisure facilities are equally impressive. The swimming pool, change rooms, and sports amenities were spotless, well-maintained, and very inviting. Everything reflected the same high standard we experienced throughout the hotel. For those driving electric cars, EV charging stations are conveniently available on-site for a fee, which is a thoughtful and practical feature. Overall, Ashdown Park exceeded every expectation. It offers luxury, comfort, history, and beauty all in one place. I left feeling incredibly happy and grateful for the experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a special getaway, and without question, I will return.

We were actually quite disappointed with our afternoon tea experience. Prior to booking, I specifically highlighted my dietary requirements and was assured they would be accommodated on the day. However, when the sandwiches arrived, they did not match what I had requested and had to be sent back to be corrected. Additionally, I was served a different selection of cakes compared to the non-vegetarian guests and was told they were all vegan. This was confusing, as I had clearly stated I was vegetarian, not vegan. To add to the inconsistency, I was still given cream with my scone which wouldn’t be suitable for a vegan so the approach didn’t really make sense. The sandwiches themselves were very small, with minimal filling, which was quite underwhelming. Service started off well, but as the venue became busier, we were largely overlooked. We waited around 10 minutes for additional cream for our scones, as the initial portion was insufficient. It’s a shame, because we had a lovely spa experience, but the afternoon tea unfortunately took away from what could have been a perfect day.
