Idilic location. Beautiful grounds. Rooms are spacious..however winter time they are freezing. It is a 300 year old building with old radiators so to be expected. We had to ask for a heater and were duly given a oil panel radiator. By the morning the room was comfortable just. The staff were lovely polite and attentive, and had been trained to a high standard. Which is key in hospitality. The food was exquisite, plenty to eat for the breakfast and a good variety of options. All clean and presented very well. We stayed for a wedding and the food for that was also excellent. Check in after 3 which I find is a bit late... And check out at 11am. I would definitely stay again but would ask for a heater in the room in advance..

Beautiful old manor hotel in Lampeter and well located for exploring nearby seaside villages. The hotel had charm and warmth with a beautiful bar , restaurant and lounge area. We had a lovely green view from our room , water pressure in the shower was very poor , rooms do need some updating. Breakfast was excellent and the friendly service from Dal was outstanding and started our day smiling. Highly recommend if you are staying in this area and want a traditional hotel experience.

Beautifully situated, tucked away in the woods outside Lampeter, you immediately feel relaxed, as if time has no consequence. Our room, as for every visit we've been, spotless and well maintained. The bathroom sparkling after every service. Noise? An hour in the lounge before dinner, calm and relaxing, no loud noises, just laid back comfort. Dinner, so disappointing to finish the meal! Generous portions, full of flavour and cooked to my liking. On the second night I was forced to ask for a half portion of the cheese board. And the breakfast? An excellent buffet, but I also wanted a cooked breakfast. Devoid of grease, and fat, perhaps one of the best breakfasts I've had. Always a first choice for a weekend away from the hurly burly, with professional staff maintain polite friendliness at all times. Thank you so much. We will, without doubt, be back. Lovely place to visit, very beautiful drive up to it. Rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Staff were all super friendly and very helpful. The only let, and the reason for 4 stars, was the food could have been better for the price paid at dinner and the breakfast we had (the Welsh Breakfast) left us a bit wanting. Despite that, would still recommend for lovely atmosphere, rooms and great staff.

Overall fantastic! Would stay again. Rooms were good size, clean, and clearly well maintained. Super dog friendly and excellent countryside walks on the doorstep. Staff also very welcoming and friendly. Breakfasts were fantastic (full cooked Welsh breakfast). WiFi was also really fast and never an issue. A couple of things worth noting: 1. We arrived and ate dinner there on a Sunday, which turned out to be a reduced menu and was a little disappointing. Mostly sandwiches, and two options of mains (a burger or fish). 2. The offer on the website (no £15 a night fee for dogs if you stay over 3 nights) apparently does not apply if you booked through booking.com. We had to fork up a decent amount of cash on checkout unfortunately, which left things on a bit of a sour note…
