Cancellation policy
In the event of a cancellation, we require verbal notification followed by written confirmation by fax or registered post within 24 hours. Charges apply as follows: Date of cancellation Cancellation charge Between 24 and 12 weeks before the event date 30% of total booking value Between 12 and 6 weeks before the event date 50% of total booking value Between 6 and 4 weeks before the event date 70% of total booking value Between 4 and 2 weeks before the event date 90% of total booking value Less than 2 weeks before the event date 100% of total booking value 2.1 Confirmation of final numbers must be confirmed in writing no less than 5 days prior to the event. 2.2 No liability will be incurred In the unlikely event that Athena is forced to cancel your event due to reasons beyond its control, it will offer alternative dates for the event to take place. If no date can be agreed then all monies paid will be refunded but this will be the limit of Athena’s liability. 2.3 In the case of postponement of an event, the venue and client must mutually agree on a new date and confirm this in writing. If an event date is postponed and a new date mutually agreed and subsequently cancelled, cancellation charges will be calculated using the original booking date

Went to see Murder Trial Tonight III. Very entertaining. Won't give the verdict, in case anyone else is going! Athena is an ex Odeon cinema, very much in the art deco style. It is beautiful but drinks are very expensive. I'd certainly go again if there was anything on I fancied.

A nice venue although the drinks are pricey and the toilets upstairs aren't the best. However the range of different areas to be able to watch a performance there are good (eg stalls, balcony) and all the staff were very friendly. We went for a Girly Pop day and they had offers on just for that eg a Mocktail which was very nice and reasonably priced for a one off treat.

Great venue in Leicester that seems to be criminally underused. There are 3 levels to stand downstairs and a huge balcony. Parking is available via the car park at the nearby Curve Theatre or park on King Street for free and take a 10 minute walk. There is a large bar which was easy to get served at. The sound was spot on.
