I’ve recently stayed at the Ibis Styles Southwark / London Bridge and have had the loveliest stay. It wasn’t my first stay in this hotel but my third ou fourth one I believe and couldn’t be more happy about the place and its services. The reception team is always so nice, very helpful and keen to listen to your needs or requests. For the first time I wasn’t given a room in the upper floors but in the other part of the hotel which is quiet but did not suit me very well. I asked if it was possible to be moved to the higher floors and staff from reception immediately understood I needed a room from which I can easily see the outdoors. Breakfast is very nice as well, many options (sweet and savoury) as well as gluten-free and vegan options (oat milk directly from the coffee machine when you want a latte or a hot chocolate). Bedrooms are very comfortable, the bed mattress itself is absolutely perfect, the best balance between back maintenance and softness. The rooms are very well maintained, the housekeeping team is very nice and they all do an excellent work. The whole hotel is calm and quiet, you do not hear a sound at night, not even the lifts or someone walking by your door in the corridor. You only realise you have neighbours when you see them at breakfast ! The reception, breakfast area, lifts and rooms are all designed with inspiration from theatre and musicals. Lovely details, decoration is well designed (I absolutely love the ropes and the hat lamps in the breakfast area), every piece of furniture is high quality and very comfortable. The hotel is ideally located, south bank of the Thames, nearby London Bridge underground station (about 10 min. walk) from where you can catch the Jubilee and the Northern lines. You can also take trains to other locations around and out of London from London Bridge train station nearby. The famous Borough Market is just 5 min walk away from the hotel and there are plenty restaurants and bars that are open in the evening as well. The south bank really is a lovely area you can explore after dinner : a walk along the river Thames, Shakespeare Globe Theatre, Southbank Centre, the Golden Hinde (an Elizabethan galleon), the Anchor, the George Inn, as well as amazing architecture in the surroundings. I’d say that the only two minor disadvantages are that there aren’t many supermarkets around and that there aren’t many bus options compared with a more central location (I love to gaze at the city and discover neighbourhoods from the bus while on an itinerary from A to B) but the Tube works very well ! I would definitely recommend this hotel for people who want to experience London like a local, away from the main touristic areas, and who want good night sleeps, comfortable equipment and easy access to the Underground. I will be back soon !

Always a pleasant stay! Staff are very friendly and approachable at all times of the day. The continental breakfast has a wide range of options for everyone. The rooms are clean and stylish. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to go site seeing. I look forward to my next business trip and staying at the Ibis Styles Southwark.

Loved it. Kind, helpful staff on reception. Spotless clean rooms with all the basics you need, including a good air cooling system when it was 35 degrees outside. Decent size wardrobe, safe, hairdryer etc. comfortable bed. Free Continental breakfast to start your day. Great location near southbank, Tate modern and borough market plus a few tube lines. Will book again next time I’m in London it was a great base.

Great location, easy to get around but not too busy. Beds are really comfortable and the room was very clean. The room had a coffee machine which we appreciated. USB sockets by the bed were useful. WiFi was good. Front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. The only issue was the lighting in the living room of our suite. There are 2 lamps but they can only turn on when all of the other lights are on so it’s either full brightness or full darkness. Wash cloths in the bathroom would have been nice but I don’t think that’s common in hotels in this country so be sure to bring your own!

Highly recommended. Really impressed with this Ibis hotel. The building has character, and the interiors are modern and well maintained. My room was bright, clean, and had a great rainfall shower. Bed was comfortable. Staff were consistently helpful, and the breakfast restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere with good food. It’s only a short 5 minute walk from London’s premier food market, Borough Market, and key sights and London Tube transport links, which made exploring easy. A great choice for a comfortable, stress‑free stay. I’d definitely return.
