What a lovely lovely pub, made to feel very welcome after a horrible manager at the pub we were actually staying in. (Hanbury) Barmaid was so friendly, and the local at the bar. Was a good place to relax while we waited for our check in.

The Rosemary Branch – Where Theatre and Ale Share a Stage 📍 2 Shepperton Road, London N1 3DT The Rosemary Branch isn’t just a pub—it’s a character. Nestled on the edge of De Beauvoir Town, this historic spot blends Victorian charm with bohemian spirit. Once a music hall where legends like Marie Lloyd and Charlie Chaplin performed, today it’s a place where locals gather for craft beer, Sunday roasts, and fringe theatre with heart. Atmosphere Inside, it’s all creaky floorboards, velvet drapes, and vintage oddities—from stuffed animals to model aircraft suspended mid-air. The mirrored bar glows softly, and the upstairs theatre adds a layer of creative energy that sets it apart from your average pub. It’s cozy, eccentric, and unmistakably North London. Food & Drink The menu leans gastropub with seasonal British comfort: Beef cottage pie with aged Italian cheese – rich, warming, and deeply satisfying Black Bomber cheese croquettes – crisp, punchy, and perfect with a pint Mussels in cider and leek cream – aromatic and generous Ales from Hammerton, Five Points, and Fuller's – well-kept and varied, though some wish for a wider rotation The Sunday roast is a local favourite—hearty, well-balanced, and served beside a real fire if you time it right.
