What a lovely lovely pub, made to feel very welcome after a horrible manager at the pub we were actually staying in. (Hanbury) Barmaid was so friendly, and the local at the bar. Was a good place to relax while we waited for our check in.

Food & Drink The menu leans gastropub with seasonal British comfort: Beef cottage pie with aged Italian cheese – rich, warming, and deeply satisfying Black Bomber cheese croquettes – crisp, punchy, and perfect with a pint Mussels in cider and leek cream – aromatic and generous Ales from Hammerton, Five Points, and Fuller's – well-kept and varied, though some wish for a wider rotation The Sunday roast is a local favourite—hearty, well-balanced, and served beside a real fire if you time it right.
