The hotel in general is nice and welcoming. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, nice dark curtains. The floor in the room was grubby, unfortunately. The layout of the bathroom area takes some getting used to. No light in the shower cabin unless you light up the whole room.

Family of three stayed four nights. Great, safe location for access to transportation and more. Only option for third sleeping was on the futon/sofa bed, but my son didn’t complain of any discomfort and they had made the bed up for us in advance of checking in. Appreciated the air con, the mini fridge, the refillable water taps in the lobby (including sparkling!), and the pizzas from downstairs were perfect for a lazy last meal of the trip. If your family needs more “bathroom privacy” just be aware of the more open-plan nature of the toilet, shower, and sink. This didn’t bother us particularly, but might be an issue for some! My only complaint was the state of the rainfall showerhead. I couldn’t bring myself to use it, as it was heavily mildewed and caked with hard water. Luckily the shower provided multiple options! Also, be aware of the room next to the fitness center. One evening we had to listen to an over eager weightlifter, and repetitive dumbbells dropping heavily on the floor. Overall fine stay with lovely staff.

Convenient stay at the Novotel. Well located within walking distance from London Bridge and Borough Market with plenty of restaurants. Room was quite nice with nice view, at least the one I had. Breakfast is alright, not the best I had but it’s not terrible neither. Staff is a mixed bag, some were friendly, some got the wrong job or had a bad day. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay, but for a 4-star hotel I’d expect more.

I have always stayed at this hotel and they have been very good, great service, good location. But from my recent stay with them, they said they run out of dental kits. I understand it is not automatically provided in each room but when you request for it, they provide it. It was so difficult to look for a shop where I could buy one as it was late when I got back to the hotel and most shops are closed already. Hope they could work on making sure they don’t run out on supplies in the future.

We booked the hotel following research on booking.com that said rooms were king size. They are not. Partly my fault for assuming a queen bed was a different term for large king size as shown on booking.com. However - the hotel had a huge event on which they hadn’t shared, the prices of the rooms were inflated to double the usual rate and quite frankly were not worth that rate. We were early to work from the hotel but there were no seats anyway so we had to leave and find somewhere to work. We couldn’t get a meal there as it was too busy with the event so we had to leave and look for somewhere to eat in the rain. The bed sheets were scratchy and old with stains on. The sofa bad is a piece of foam that hasn’t been cleaned since the hotel opened - they were very dirty. The floor was dirty. The pillows were bad. All in all I had a terrible nights sleep, I did complain and were provided a 35% refund but I will not be staying in a Novotel hotel again. Pictures look nice but the hotel is not.
