About Venue
The Building Centre sits just off Tottenham Court Road, in the heart of Fitzrovia. The building is closely linked to architecture and the built environment, with interiors shaped around scale, light, and structure.
Seven event spaces are spread across multiple floors. These support evening receptions, conferences, product launches, exhibitions, workshops, talks, and private dinners. Rooms vary in size and feel, allowing events to move between formal and informal settings.
The Main Gallery accommodates large receptions of up to 200 guests. Seminar Suites are used for talks and hybrid events, with in-built technical support. The Lower Gallery offers a more enclosed setting for networking and smaller gatherings.
The venue is licensed for evening hire and supports events of up to 350 guests across the building. Spaces are hybrid-ready and supported by an experienced on-site team and established catering partners. The location is central and well connected, making the venue suitable for both daytime and evening use.
Located on the ground floor at the heart of the Building Centre, the Main Gallery is a large, open-plan space accommodating up to 350 guests. It is best suited to evening receptions, launches, award ceremonies, screenings, and exhibitions, as well as daytime receptions and informal talks.
A defining feature of the gallery is the 16-metre by 3-metre 4K video wall running the full length of the space, ideal for immersive presentations, films, digital installations, and branded content. An in-house technical team supports setup and live operation.
With high ceilings and a calm, contemporary finish, the Main Gallery provides a flexible, neutral backdrop for professional, cultural, and brand-led events, and is particularly popular for evening hire when the space transitions into a more intimate setting.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations will only be accepted in writing. If the Building Centre has not confirmed receipt of your cancellation within two working days, please contact our Venue Hire Co-ordinator. The following charges will apply when bookings are cancelled: - More than 12 weeks before the event: No charge - 10–12 weeks before the event: 25% of total space hire - 8–10 weeks before the event: 50% of total space hire - 4–8 weeks before the event: 75% of total space hire - 1–4 weeks before the event: 100% of total space hire - 7 days or less before the event: 100% of total space hire, catering, and technical costs
