Awesome 5 nights spent in this hotel, we were so sad to leave. The mattress was super comfortable we knocked out almost immediately after laying on the bed. Really worth it to get the king size bed. One point to note is that the rooms are meant for couples as the bathroom is open and doesn’t have a door (unless you’re okay with that!) 5 star location too- right above Kings Cross tube station which gives you easy access to all the major tourist sights. Not to mention the bus stop right in front of the hotel

this is not your typical hotel! In a good way of course - and it’s not for everyone. Most of the bad reviews here seem due to people not liking the decor and room design which is very subjective. But this place is seriously a modernist gem filled with 70s groovy vibes. Stylish in its own unique way. Everything from signage to brochures and phones and light switches are carefully considered. Staff is super friendly and chill. Kings cross is a bit of a chaotic area but the hotel made sure to always have at least one doorman outside the doors to keep tab on people coming in and out to ensure security. Of course it’s so easy to get anywhere else in London or even Europe by just crossing the street - the tube, many train lines, and even the Eurostar is minutes away If you’re into design and well themed unique hotels, definitely don’t miss out! It’s worth the price.

I very much liked the vibe of this hotel. It was also quite quiet inside, couldn't really hear the street noise at all. I liked my little bunk bed. Branding is on point. Lots of nice little touches.

The Standard is easily one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The thoughtfully designed property is full of surprises around every corner. The library/lounge, bar and beer garden, rooftop area, and the Banksy artwork are just a few of my favorite features. The terrace suite was spacious and I loved the nook with the cushy leather couches and dining area. The view of the city was great and the balcony tub was also a great feature. Lastly, the staff were kind and helpful, especially the upbeat woman who checked us in! Would love to return!
