Took me awhile to figure out how to get here. Arrived on the Heathrow Express from Paddington to terminal 2/3. I took the free transfer to terminal 5. from arrivals you head to car parking/pod. You can access the hotel via the driverless pods. £4.50 each way. Takes around six minutes, and is quite a fun experience. The pods seat up to four people with room for baggage. This is the best deal to and from the terminal. Taxi would cost £22. arriving at the hotel, you can choose to check in at the reception or contactless. I chose contactless and it was straightforward and easy. Rooms are great even though it’s a three star hotel bathroom has a tub and shower, sleeping area is spacious, has a desk and TV. clean, not so modern, but still great value for money. The hotel also has a bar/restaurant area. Full menu. Food is good with a great selection of beers and wines. Should the need arise, I will come back here.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Thistle London Heathrow, and from the moment I arrived, the experience exceeded expectations. A special mention must go to Yasir, who provided an outstanding check-in experience. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care made the arrival feel effortless and truly first-class. It’s rare to receive such exceptional service, and he set the tone for a fantastic stay. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable, with a landing strip view that was both unique and surprisingly relaxing. Watching the planes take off and land was a real highlight and added something special to the stay. Dining in the restaurant was another pleasure — the meal was very enjoyable, well prepared, and served in a calm, welcoming atmosphere, perfectly rounding off the evening. What truly elevates this hotel is the Heathrow Pods experience. The journey to and from the terminal was seamless, efficient, and stress-free, making airport transfers incredibly easy and adding a touch of novelty and convenience that sets the hotel apart. Overall, this was an excellent stay with outstanding service, comfortable rooms, great dining, and unbeatable airport connectivity. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend Thistle Heathrow to anyone seeking quality, comfort, and genuinely memorable hospitality.

Very easy and convenient to get to and from Heathrow TV. After a slightly slow check-in process queued up due to a system upgrade, we were finally sorted. Staff were very friendly and efficient despite the system changes. The hotel lobby had everything you need; seating, shop, coffee, umbrellas. Our room was on the first floor, I don’t know whose idea it was to build a hotel airport knowing full well people will have luggage, but not to have an elevator… luckily just 1 floor isn’t too bad. The room is very basic, clean and tidy with a really good sized TV as well as a bath / shower. We had a pint and some nachos at the Aviator Sports Bar, prices are pretty good and the food was ok, although it could have done with some melted cheese. We would happily stay here again for any future early morning flights.

This hotel is perfect for plane spotting- the runway terrace on the second level was amazing honestly. I came up on a Sunday morning after sunrise and the quality and view was absolutely superb. the public bus is only a 10 minute ride from the airport and cheap too if you don’t want to spend unnecessary money on the pod shuttle or the hotel hopper bus. The bed was comfortable and the toilet was clean and useful although there was not much storage at the sink for items and the bath tub can get slippery. Bed was comfortable but no proper power outlet beside it. It is an old hotel and can feel a bit cramped.

This hotel was disappointing. First of all, I googled "airports inside Heathrow" and this one came up. Perfect. I just wanted to get off my plane and check in. NOPE! This is in the Heathrow Airport Zone. Not their fault and my review isn't based on that, but just making others aware. They did send me an email saying I could take "the pod" to the hotel directly from the airport for 8,25. Me being from out of town, I had no idea what "the pod" was, so spent way too much money getting to the hotel. The pod is cool and well worth it. Definitely figure that out if you're looking for an inexpensive way to get to the hotel. Having got in, I just wanted to change into my pajamas, order some room service and rest. Pajamas on, I called room service. No answer. Tried over and over for several minutes. Then tried calling the restaurant directly. No answer despite trying over and over for another few minutes. Called the front desk to find out if they have room service. You guessed it... no answer despite trying several times. So my unhappy self had to get dressed and meander all about the hotel to arrive at the restaurant. Placed my order then went back to my room and was happy in my pajamas. Room service showed up. No complaints with the server. She was lovely. The internet was a joke all night long. Dropping off, coming back for a few moments then dropping off again. Not what I was looking for in a hotel. Not relaxing. Best part of the stay was leaving the next morning in the pod.
