Thistle London Heathrow T5 is one of the few hotels located near to the country’s premier international airport. As the closest off-site hotel to Terminal 5, and less than two miles to Terminals 2 & 3, the hotel is perfectly located for access to and from the airport.

Because we’re close to central London – the Heathrow Express travels from the airport to London Paddington in just 15 minutes – we are a perfect venue for business travellers, event organisers and tourists alike. We’re also just miles from the historic attractions of Windsor Castle and Ascot Racecourse, perfect whether you’re a fan of the Royal Family or the Sport of Kings.

If you’re arriving by car, we have on-site parking for 450 cars, and overnight parking is available from just £12.00 per night subject to availability when reserved with accommodation.

Location, location people...not to mention great clean, fresh rooms. Lovely, helpful & friendly staff. There is a fantastic pub close by called the "White Horse," which I highly recommend, especially during the summertime. They have live music on Sundays and delicious cheese handburgers with a fantastic atmosphere. We are looking forward to using the transport pods to the airport early tomorrow morning. I will definitely stay here again at the Thistle.

Arrived Late at London, so took an hotel for one night close the airport T5. Room was comfortable, it was a hot summer day/night and Ac worked great, silent and fresh. Available USB for charging helped a lot, i had no UK adapter at hand. Only attention point is that the bath is quite slippery so be careful, I would recommend the hotel to add some ant-slip there. Used hotel buses to get to the hotel in front and walked to the hotel as google directed me too - seems there are pods, and normal buses are as good an cheaper. The other day I took buss in front of hotel to the city, took a bit to figure correct side of the street to wait but worked fine, you can pay with credit card a the buses.

Just returned from a two night stay. Excellent value for money. Staff are so friendly. Rooms are really clean. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Also, ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Had food in the restaurant which was delicious and piping hot, the fish and chips is a big portion. The price is average and no more expensive than any other restaurant. We used the pods once as they’re quite expensive at £8.25 per person for a 5 minute journey. The bus stop is just outside the hotel and is only £1.75. The icing on the cake is being able to sit on the terrace overlooking the runway. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Good value hotel. Stayed here 1 night before our early flight on the next day. Easy access from T5 using Pod service, and we absolutely enjoyed! We requested a room at the ground level since we heard there is no lift, and I think that was a good call. Cheaper rate compared to other hotels nearby, and with the experience of Pod service, I will recommend to stay anyone who needs easy access to the airport.

We recently stayed at the Thistle Heathrow T5 for a quick overnight before an early flight, and overall, it was a solid airport hotel experience. We booked a Deluxe King Room directly through Thistle's website, which turned out to be the cheapest option available—good value for the price. The location is very convenient, especially when arriving from Terminal 5. The driverless pods made for a quick and easy 5-minute journey, and it was just a 2-minute walk to reception from the pod station. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, which is exactly what you want after a day of travel. The room itself was a bit dated, but honestly, that’s to be expected from an airport hotel catering to short stays. What mattered more was that it was clean, the bed was comfy, and the pillows were decent. There were tea and coffee facilities, which was a nice touch. There was a bit of noise late at night and early morning as other guests came and went, but again, that’s par for the course with a hotel this close to a major terminal. The automated shop/bar in reception was handy but definitely overpriced. Fortunately, there’s an Esso garage and a McDonald’s just a short walk (about 100m) from the entrance, which is helpful if you want to grab snacks or a quick meal. The only real downside was an unexpected fire alarm just as we were leaving. There was little direction from staff, who didn’t seem sure what was going on. It didn’t seem serious, as it stopped once we reached the car park, but still—it could’ve been handled better. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and conveniently located hotel for a short stay near Heathrow, the Thistle T5 is a good pick—just don’t expect luxury, and pack a bit of patience if anything unexpected crops up.
