Greenwich Yacht Club truly is one of London’s hidden gems. Nestled between the O2 Arena and The Thames Barrier with a neighbouring ecology park you can feel miles from London and be only 3 stops from London bridge station.
The club boasts 2 starkly different venues. The River Rooms is their stand-alone event venue and hosts weddings and parties throughout the year. With an abundance of natural daylight, the river views and large outdoor decking mean that summer parties are particularly popular. However, we feel the venue really comes to life when the sun goes down and the twinkling lights of the river increase and London’s Skyline lights up.

GYC is a really amazing venue for events, we got married here last May using both the river rooms and the club house in the evening and couldn't have been happier with how unique a setting it was over the Thames. The staff were brilliant as well in the run up and on the day, especially Andrew who was a massive help in all the organising and making sure the day ran smoothly! Would highly recommend

My husband and I had the BEST wedding at GYC back in April. Andrew and the team were amazing and went above and beyond to make the day such a success for us, we’re incredibly grateful. The caterers Relish were also so accommodating and the bbq spread they did for us was delicious. All our guests were so impressed with the venue (including the views over the Thames!), the food and the service as well as all the small touches. Would really recommend if you’re planning a wedding in South East London. Thank you so much!!

My (now) husband and I had our wedding reception in the Clubhouse. From the very start of our planning, Will and Andrew were absolutely amazing! It's an incredible venue and they were so friendly, welcoming and patient (I asked millions of questions 😊). We had the most wonderful night. Cannot recommend them highly enough! ❤️
