About Venue

A top Shoreditch bar and club with regular live music and DJ acts from cutting edge labels. The ground floor showcases an intricate blend of window etchings, graffiti, ivy and a landscape of benches, with a large bar that is happy to serve up tasty cocktails, thirst-quenching lagers and ales on tap and a selection of wines. Hip Shoreditch kids lounge on the big sofas and groups of friends enjoy the buzzy atmosphere with fun to be had in the games room with pinball and table football.

The Queen's alter ego appears in the basement bar, dark and a little twisted; a youth club for the adults of the east side with lazers, smoke and a booming Funktion One sound system. This fantastic London club space hosts top DJs Thursday to Saturday where you can get your sweaty London rave fix. The venue also boasts a top rooftop bar with a garden, kitchen and BBQ for those who love alfresco drinks with stunning views of London. This winter, Lady Celeste will be taking over our rooftop. Leave the glum, grey streets of London at the door and ascend to an incredible evening of Parisian-inspired decadence this Christmas, courtesy of Lady Celeste. Begin your evening with bubbles and canapes before being entertained by an incredible Moulin Rouge style cabaret performance. For those of you who choose to wander outside; take a seat by the fire pits and marvel at the twinkling night sky whilst sharing a traditional Absinthe-style fountain with your comrades.

The Queen's alter ego appears in the basement bar, dark and a little twisted; a youth club for the adults of the east side. The basement is the perfect all-rounder for a great party for up to 250, providing everything you’d expect to deliver the perfect knees-up: A large dance floor and bar, boothed seating areas, a live music stage and DJ booth and state-of-the-art sound and lighting.

We had our post Christmas party drinks at the QoH and had a great time! The food, drinks and music were just perfect to finish our night out! Susie and one of her colleagues who looked after us were absolutely amazing! The way she read the room and ger awareness of the customers was spot on! We will be back!

Very disappointing experience, especially for New Year’s Eve. This bar advertises a rooftop bar and includes photos of an open rooftop. We paid £20 each at the door and were explicitly told that the rooftop was open. However, once inside, it became clear that there was no actual rooftop experience at all — it was completely covered by a tent. This made it absolutely pointless for New Year’s Eve, as you could not see a single firework. Staff later explained that access was blocked to prevent people from falling over the edge, which makes the entire rooftop concept misleading. If this is the case, it should be made very clear in the advertising and at the door before charging people. You could genuinely have sat and recorded every person who climbed the 50 stairs to the roof, only to discover a fully enclosed space with zero visibility — it was that consistently disappointing. On a more positive note, the venue itself has three bars and three DJs (two downstairs and one upstairs). The music was good, and the toilets were kept clean and well stocked throughout the night, which is commendable. That said, they ran out of mixers on New Year’s Eve, leaving many people drinking straight spirits or fruit juice, and many guests left early. Overall, the misleading rooftop advertising combined with the high entry fee made this a complete waste of money. I would not recommend this venue for events advertised as rooftop experiences.

2nd time here and each time it’s more disappointing. Awful music, no atmosphere, rude staff. Came for a comedy evening and Eventbrite had only issued 1 barcode for our tickets (a simple error I’m sure) but despite showing all of the confirmation emails they said we needed to buy another ticket at double the online price. Would not listen to reason or take into account the paper trail. I’d advise you to swerve Queen of Hoxton and go to any of the other great venues close by.
