About Venue
Ember Yard is a restaurant and bar in the centre of Soho bringing its guests an extensive range of Spanish and Italian-inspired cuisine. The focus of the slick interior is the state-of-the-art charcoal grill, which is used to prepare most of the options on the menu. With their skilful manipulation of different types of wood, the culinary experts at Ember Yard are able to create a whole host of different tastes, with mouth-watering dishes like smoked bream carpaccio with blood orange & bottarga, and hot smoked old spot pork belly with Basque cider glaze particularly popular amongst visitors.
There's also ample choice when it comes to selecting your tipple, as Ember Yard has a list of delicious cocktails that are tailored to suit the Mediterranean food. The venue also comes equipped with a stylish basement, The Ember Bar, ideal to relax in with a pre or post meal drink. The excellent location of this restaurant is mirrored by the quality available on the inside, and it is rightly considered one of the leading Mediterranean eateries in London town

Great service from julia, really fast and on top of things. Very accommodating: clearing the tables quickly, food came fast, check backs, and overall really friendly. Great experience!

Booked a dinner with friends and chose the chef’s counter, which in retrospect, was the perfect choice. The chef Ricardo who looked after us was brilliant, from service to food recommendations, from start to finish. The food was fresh and super tasty, personal favourites were the sliders and gambas. Will definitely come back!

Fantastic restaurant. Even the simplest dishes blow you away. You must must try the chicken with the arroz - the caramelisation and jus of the risotto is amazing. The scallops are a must have too. And try the Lebanese red wine! Pedro was so hospitable, warm and knowledgable. He made us feel right at home. I felt so happy and giddy after our meal here. Really can’t recommend it enough.

A lovely tapas spot in the heart of Soho, with a wide menu and an even bigger wine list. Plenty of classic Spanish dishes to choose from. Probably some of the best Spanish food we’ve had in London — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The team were friendly and professional, and we were pleasantly surprised by how busy it was for a Tuesday evening. A lively, bustling atmosphere.

Racial discrimination by the staff When we first saw on the website that there was a table available at 8:15, we decided to walk in. We arrived at the store at 8:17, but the staff told us that there were no available tables and all the tables had been reserved. I found on their website that a table at 8:45 was available, so I immediately made a reservation and went to the store. However, the staff still told us the same thing that all the tables were reserved. After we argued strongly, they reluctantly found a bar counter seat for us. When we saw a more comfortable four-person table in the corner and wanted to change to it, we were told that it was reserved for 11 people. Terrible dining experience There was no waiter to give us the menu and wine list. We had to borrow them from other tables ourselves. And after we finished ordering, they didn't take away the menus and wine lists but just placed the food and plates on top of them. We had to ask for water and cutlery ourselves. Also, when we repeatedly asked the staff for help, such as for cutlery and tap water, they chose to ignore us. Only after multiple inquiries did they come to serve us. Regarding the table selection After we finished the meal, the four-person table we had requested to change to was still unoccupied.
