A very small theatre. I like small theatres. Reception/ waiting area is small too. It was the first time I had been there, never knew it existed. Lovely little place.

Excellent theatre focused on supporting new work - please support it and go and see something! I saw a 2-hander by (and starring) Lyndsey Ruiz - it was great. Theatre very comfortable, drinks before, lovely staff/managers/owners

The box office lady is an incredibly kind individual and walked me through this. I presumed the show was not immersive and instead like a normal theatre show as I had just walked past the theatre and thought it was interesting and why not do such a gospel show - I was incredibly surprised of how transformative and happy I felt after the show. I have never felt this way about theatre before. The environment created was incredibly kind and supportive by the actors.. this is the power of music.

Camden People’s Theatre is one of those buildings that instantly lifts the mood of the whole street. Its bright turquoise facade stands proudly on the corner, impossible to miss among the surrounding brick buildings. The colour feels joyful and bold, yet the architecture itself is beautifully traditional — tall windows, decorative cornices and a charming corner tower that gives the building a distinctive silhouette against the sky. The combination of classic form and playful colour gives it a personality that feels perfectly suited to Camden. At street level, the theatre frontage adds life and creativity to the scene. Posters in the windows, warm lighting and the steady movement of people passing by make the corner feel active and welcoming. The building seems to radiate the artistic energy of the area long before you step inside. What makes the view especially enjoyable is how naturally it fits the street. Camden has always celebrated individuality and creativity, and this building feels like a perfect expression of that spirit. It brings colour to grey days, character to the corner and a sense of theatre to the everyday city walk. It is the kind of place that makes you slow down, look up and smile.
