This a lovely hotel is in a great location. The staff were very welcoming and friendly upon arrival. The room was very clean, comfortable and overlooked the Quay. There are plenty of bars and good restaurants nearby and it’s about a 15 minutes walk into the Town Centre. We will definitely be coming back when we visit Newcastle again.

Overall this is a nice hotel that is ideally located in the heart of the quayside. The staff are very polite and attentive, the rooms are very well cleaned and perfectly adequate for a good night's stay. I have reduced my review to a 4 simply because of the breakfast this morning, I have eaten breakfast here previously and it was fresh and tasty, but today, my wife wanted to pay for the breakfast for us and it was nothing short of terrible. The full breakfast items were brought out from the kitchen instead of being at the buffet, the black pudding was almost rubber like, as if it was cooked yesterday and had been kept warm, the hash browns had the texture of a Jacobs cracker, again as if it were cooked yesterday and recooked or kept heated. Same with the bacon and the sausages. The staff were apologetic and offered to bring a fresh one, unfortunately this wasn't much better. So generally a nice hotel but let down at the last hurdle by spending £30 on two breakfasts which we ended up leaving and eating toast instead.

Staff were all really nice and welcoming throughout the hotel. Large foyer and dining area. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with a good choice...especially liked the pancake machine that made hot and fresh pancakes. Never seen one before but it was simple to use and great for breakfast. The dining staff were all exceptional. Overall a nice stay...with a few little niggles...hallways to the rooms were a little bit shabby (skirting boards scraped) and could do with brightening up a little. Quite dark when you come out of the lift to your floor. The rooms could offer an extra blanket, however I'm sure reception would sort something out. Overall a nice hotel and would stay again.

Newcastle car parking is a pain, so linked discounted car park at 12.50/day is useful. Riverside views, although not spectacular are nice. Some slight noise from the nearby rail bridge but didn't bother us, but if you are a light sleeper worth considering. Very clean rooms, slightly ageing so might have issue here and there. Ours was the condensation due to fan not working, but not a biggie. Comfy beds. Nice big LED TV to watch. Lots of storage. Hairdryer and a multifunction socket for charging lots of devices. Front desk staff very friendly. Lovely entrance hall and as it was Xmas they made a great display in restaurant. We did not eat in, so cannot comment on food. Would stay again.

Hotel is fine with a fantastic view of the river. Bedrooms are getting tired. Breakfast was the highlight, buffet hot breakfast was good. Conferencing was average, poor projector, requested set up not done, average lunch
