I went to the restaurant for dinner and it was lovely! The atmosphere all around the inside and outside dining was gorgeous. Every staff member was really lovely and helpful. The pizza was delicious! We got the spicy pizza and it was so good! All the food and drinks were reasonably priced, with a large menu with lots of options. The outdoor lounge was a nice seating area and very helpful that it had a bar out there, the bartender in the outside bar was amazing. The indoor seating was great with lots of space, other than the low roof. Will definitely be returning the next time I’m in Bedford.

Lovely welcome. Rooms nice with small seating area too. Pleasant location but it's a shame there is no direct access to walk along the riverbank. On the Friday we got there there was ample parking in the car park. However on the Saturday there was a wedding and we only just managed to find a space on our return from a meal out. This could be an issue as there is no other parking nearby.

Service, amazing. Interior, love it! Food, good but could be improved. Came here for the first time and it was lovely! I ordered a Bavette steak - pink - but they gave it to me well done. The sweet potato mash was unreal! Loved that, but also couldn’t eat much of the corn, and the peppercorn sauce, needs MUCH less pepper! I know its meant to be peppery, but it was overload - my partner who’s a chef also agreed BUT, I would love to come back and try other dishes, since everyone else loved their meals

Visited the pub for a meal for a family birthday. There was a wedding on at the time so bad became busy at times but did not disturb us. I had my assistance dog with me, and there is a dog menu which he had a couple of treats from a really enjoyed. One thing I had to raise was that there are no outside bins which is not good as a dog friendly pub - i had nowhere to put a poo bag! The person I spoke to agreed it was strange as said they would raise. Food was really lovely. Service good, staff friendly. Would recommend.

We booked for two nights at quite short notice via Secret Escapes. We found the food to be excellent. During the week breakfast is a buffet style - table service at the weekend. Breakfast was very good with the biggest mushrooms I've ever encountered. Our "Classic double room" (38) was spotless and well appointed with bath and shower. Thursday was much quieter than a boisterous, noisy Friday night which is perhaps to be expected. All was quiet by 1130 pm. We walked round to the sluice gates into Priory Country Park, via the business park where you can walk by the river and get the best view of the hotel/restaurant.
