The hotel is excellent. The breakfast going on until 11am is a blessing, all hotels should do that as standard. The large bed, which wasn’t two beds pushed together was how it should be in all hotels, comfortable, cosy and clean. I was in the best room - executive, which came with a robe, slippers and white company toiletries, lovely, quiet and peaceful. All the meals were amazing and the service superb. The international and versatile staff were all excellent: Laura, Sania, Sauib, Aashiq, Sergiy, in my experience hospitality is done best by Asians and Europeans and this experience at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford just proved my point. The birthday gifts and treats were so thoughtful and considerate, along with the Christmas gift. If anyone has got the hotel, service, standard & Christmas spot on, it’s this hotel! Thank you so much for everything. I will definitely be using this hotel chain again, for sure.

Very nice hotel. It was very posh, without trying too hard to be so. Staff was all very friendly, and the food at both restaurants was very good. Very nice amenities; great gym and very large hot tub, or, "pool". Soap smelled nice, good coffee in room and in the "spill the beans" coffee shop on site. The breakfast buffet was always fresh, and had everything you could imagine.. well, not waffles and ice cream, but there's many good options. Hotel itself was a bit of a maze, but that made it memorable to me.

Overall, a decent enough place. Felt very much a business conference/meeting/traveller venue. Liked the firm beds, multiple glasses in room, size of shower, helpful staff, quality of food served. On the downside, the room heating control had no instructions and heating was in any case controlled by the front desk while the whole system was on a 3-hour reboot; then there was the length of time it took for our order to be taken in a sparsely-populated restaurant; the thud-thud-thud of an in-house party till past 11pm on Sat night, and the lack of response to my post-departure query about possibly of having left my reading glasses in the room. The small things can sometimes make a big difference.

We arrived at the hotel and were checked in very swiftly which is great. There was an option to check in ahead of time online which is a great option. Parking is around £6 per 24 hours which is a bit steep - it really should be a part of the hotel price. The hotel was nice. The room amenities were good. An extra espresso machine as well as a kettle is a great extra. Tea and coffee amenities were available as well as an ironing board and iron. The TV signal was great as well with access to Netflix etc. The food in the restaurant is quite expensive but there are plenty of take aways available to be delivered. The swimming pool is quite small as are the sauna and steam room, but they are complimentary during your stay. The breakfast is around £18 a head, but the bar in the main reception serve breakfast rolls for a lot less. The customer service was great.

When arriving at the hotel, it’s easy to miss the minor turning off the main roundabout to find the entrance. The directions off the roundabout are poor and if you don’t get it right first time, there is a lengthy detour to take you back to the roundabout. Once at the hotel, parking is an additional charge to the room, with multiple QR codes found in the car park and reception. Once checked in - the hotel is huge and there are a labyrinth of hallways that take you in a variety of directions for the mass of hotel rooms. This has to be one of the most bizarre room layouts that I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Once you’ve finally located your room after the expedition to find it, it’s well laid out with a fridge, teas and coffees, complementary water, ironing board etc. The selection of TV channels is poor and the TV doesn’t allow you to connect your own device to it. Chrome cast is advertised on the TV, but it didn’t work. The room is also poorly lit, so difficult to use the desk for work n the evening; lighting is provided by side lights rather than a main light for the room It/self. The bed is comfortable and the sheets are crisp and fresh.
