I had a 3 course meal here on a Sunday. It was delicious, quick service and the staff were very friendly. Just make sure when you arrive to check in for car parking at the reception area, do not pay for it as it is free for visitors! I would highly recommend visiting here :)

For the money, you really can't complain. Clean, spacious rooms with modern ensuite bathroom. I have stayed in worse hotels for two or three times the price. I didn't get his name, but the man on the late desk was very helpful and friendly. Not the most central, but easy to get to from Reading station on the bus.

Popped into Calcot Hotel last Sunday for the carvery lunch with a few friends and we had such a lovely time. The food was spot on. tasty, plenty of it, and loads to choose from. I was really impressed with the drinks selection too, tried a couple of things I wouldn't usually go for and loved them. The staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. Great atmosphere all round. we'll definitely be back!

Last time we stayed here, just after reopening, we were disappointed in the room, the cleanliness, and a horrible lingering smell. Thought we'd try again because it is so close to our family. Much better this time, the breakfast was well cooked and hot, very nice, although would have like a bit more fruit available. The room and bathroom were very clean and bright, needing a bit of refurbishment but nothing major. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. One disappointment was the shower which was basically a cool drip! Didn't worry us in the hot weather but hopefully will be better next time, and there will be a next time!
