I only stayed for one night and I was unfortunately trying to sleep in the annex, room number 40. The connecting doors between each of the rooms should be bricked up to ensure some sense of security and safety for anyone staying. This would also block out the noise experienced from the persons next door. I experienced very little sleep due to the people in the next room who would not shut up all night, music, talking very loudly, notifications ringing out very loudly on their phones and one of them who regularly went outside to smoke would cough and cough very loudly and wretch and spit through out the night. The hotel I accept is very old some of the profit from the hotel should be used to fix it up it is in great need of it. I heard on multiple occasions customers complain that their bed was broken and they had paid a great deal of money. On a positive side the staff are wonderful they deserve better surroundings to do their job. Anyone in the hotel business would snap them up. They are very nice people. The chef is excellent and has a beautiful soul. The owner needs to wake up and see what wonderful staff he/she has and start putting the profits back into the business before the building falls down around him/her. Thank you for the kindness shown to me by the staff they are very professional and deserve better.

As a result of an extremely heartbreaking hospital stay for my 16 Yr old son at Stoke hospital my husband and I found this hotel on booking. Com we had to stay longer than expected and the hotel manager honoured the booking. Com price throughout our stay. The hotel was spotless and staff were extremely friendly we could not of asked for anything else, the food we had was up and beyond lovely thank you for making what was an extremely difficult time a little easier.

Ideally located if your staying over due to family in Royal Stoke hospital and value for money, room decoration is a little dated, but it's all clean, free parking. I would stay again if in the area. **I stayed in a single room in the hotel itself, not the annex behind**

Greeted by a friendly member of staff so a great start. Now for the room. Very tired, carpet burnt orange with stains. Toilet suite and decor in desperate need of replacing and toilet seat hanging by one fixing. I think the sealant in the bathroom was done by Stevie Wonder! As I was alone it didn’t make a difference but the bathroom door wouldnt close or lock. Curtains not long enough in the room and insulation tape to stop the curtains coming off the end! Hotel as a whole needs desperately updating. I paid £66 for room only inc early check in fee of £10. In all honestly, I think the price is high for what you get. On a positive note, bed wasn’t bad and I had a good nights sleep. Due to timing I didn’t raise these points to the hotel, didn’t see any point as I just needed a bed and probably within my time wouldn’t have been rectified. Well done to the staff. Very helpful and friendly. Very handy for the town, shopping etc. Approx 5 minute walk. Wetherspoons(very good and friendly locals) which was a massive bonus as hotel was a bit pricey(but aren’t they all) Small carpark to the rear with around 15 spaces but very tight if they were all being used.

Borough Arms Hotel – Room 29 26 King Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST5 1HX, United Kingdom I was disappointed with my stay here. The room was advertised on Booking.com as a 30 m² double room with a bathtub, but in reality it was nowhere near that size — the entire room (including the bathroom) was under 10 m². Instead of a bathtub, there was only a very tiny shower room where it was almost impossible to move between the toilet, sink, and shower. I booked at £51.69, but the hotel charged me £56.18. When I questioned this at reception, the lady showed me the invoice and told me there was nothing she could do — that I had to sort it out with Booking.com. The bathroom was unsafe: the electrical radiator was unstable and wobbly (a hazard in a wet area), and the shower took 10–15 minutes of running dangerously hot water before it became usable. The room itself (No. 29) was uncomfortable: located on the top (third) floor, with no lift and only access via multiple narrow corridors and flights of stairs. At night, the room was noisy due to the busy street outside. There was no cooling fan, and the room was so cramped that the desk could barely fit a laptop — I even had to move the TV aside to use it. Overall, misleading advertising, overcharging, unsafe conditions, and poor comfort. 👉 But if you’re alright with all that, then this is the perfect place for you to stay.
