Escape to the heart of the Suffolk countryside, where we have reimagined the Good Life at our sustainable retreat, regenerated from a former dairy farm. We would love to welcome you to our site. We offer 26 beautiful barns and rooms that can be booked either individually or as part of a package for events such as weddings and corporate retreats. Indulge at our award-winning restaurant, relax with our rejuvenating spa treatments or recharge with several fun activities. Our activities include cycling, axe throwing, archery, gym, nordic walking, yoga and more.

1.5 If you cancel your booking with us in its entirety, we will levy the following cancellation charges: 1.5.1 Cancellation 12-6 weeks prior to the Event: 25% of total booking value. 1.5.2 Cancellation 6-4 weeks prior to the Event: 50% of total booking value 1.5.3 Cancellation 4-2 weeks prior to the Event: 75% of total booking value. 1.5.4 Cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to the Event: 100 % of total booking value.

Yesterday, I was the celebrant at a beautiful wedding at Retreat East. The events team and wedding coordination folks, and the rest of the staff, were absolutely first class. Not only were they fully present and incredibly fun and helpful to spend time with, they also made the couple feel so supported. Sometimes, as a wedding supplier, you feel like an imposition, but yesterday I felt like part of a team and it was lovely to watch the couple be treated so lovingly and with such care. I didn't see any of the accommodation but the grounds, events spaces and spa were beautiful and you felt like you were truly in a private paradise. Thanks for having me and being so welcoming, Retreat East team.

Couldn’t fault this stat. Our lodge was stunning, stylish and well fitted with nice touches like Grind coffee and the outdoor bath was lush! Food & drink was great and fairly priced for its quality. The setting is stunning- quiet & peaceful and surrounded by nature- well worth going off exploring! Last but certainly not least were the staff- all of whom were a delight to deal with and excellent. Honestly couldn’t fault it, can’t wait to go back!

Retreat East is a lovely place to unwind and relax. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable very clean and decorated to a very high standard. The food was excellent, we had dinner and then an afternoon tea the next day. Dogs are very welcome and looked after extremely well too, they are given their own bed bowls and treats. Highly recommended this retreat.

We had a really lovely 2 night stay here. Room was clean and the outside bath was glorious! We came for my partners birthday and a little gift was there on arrival which was a nice touch. Spa was easy to book and we enjoyed the steam room and sauna. We booked for dinner on the first night, a mix up of orders occurred and we had an hour long wait for food however this was rectified by our waitress and she couldn’t have done more to make sure we had a lovely time. We enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. I would have given a 5 but the only let down came on our last day which was breakfast. We came in and were there for half an hour before anybody acknowledged us and took our hot drinks order. We were excited to have a cooked breakfast which you pay extra for but decided against it as my wait for acknowledgement didn’t give me faith in the food coming out at a reasonable time. Whilst the selection of continental is good, the drinks are a problem. They aren’t replenished quickly and one bottle of water was only brought out for a room of 20 people. This really lets it down as you are paying a premium price. Checking out was easy, however, it lacked a personal touch as there was no regards to if we had a nice stay or not. The location and the grounds are amazing there are only few tweaks that need to be made for the price that you pay.
