Brooklands Hotel, Soloman Suite

The rooms are lovely, spacious, high quality and great air conditioning. Appreciated with the recent 30+ degree weather. The location is amazing for visiting Mercedes Benz World - my room had an amazing view of the track. It is obviously expensive but you are paying for the quality and the location. Breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced. Food was also very nice as was the gym, well stocked with new equipment included in the room rate.

For the price of the room, I expected a better overall experience. The room itself was spacious, but it felt quite tired. I also found something on the floor, which made me question whether it had been properly hoovered before my arrival. Although the windows are described as soundproof, I could clearly hear staff chatting outside by the bar, as well as heavy tables being dragged across the ground. The mattress was also extremely soft, and unfortunately my back was uncomfortable the next day. The welcome on arrival was disappointing. I was not given any information about the hotel, and when I asked a few questions, the receptionist seemed annoyed. I also had to ask where the lift was, as this was not pointed out to me. The bar service was also not great. When I ordered a coffee and chose where to sit, I was abruptly told, “You cannot sit there,” with no explanation. This felt unnecessary, especially as the bar was empty at the time. I was also disappointed that spa access was not included in the room price. Overall, the hotel did not feel good value for money, and the level of customer service was below what I would expect at this price point.
