We called in to St Anne's Manor at breakfast time for coffee and pastries whilst our EV was charging at a nearby charging facility. We were met with warm hospitality. Though we were not residents and we did not require a full breakfast we were dealt with quickly and efficiently at a busy time. The coffee and pastries were delicious and excellent value. The surroundings are pleasant and seating comfortable. The staff were considerate and friendly.. We enjoyed the trees and birdsong as we walked through the grounds along the approach drive. A thoroughly pleasant interlude in our day's journeyings.

Very good hotel, with great location. Thanks to the location, the hotel is very quiet and you can enjoy good sleep. Rooms are little outdated but in general provides everything I need. Good quality bed which is a key. Breakfast is nice with a decent selection. But more options would be welcome.

Lovely hotel in superb grounds. Check in easy, lovely touch of hot cookies! Room OK, bed a bit small for us. Lovely toiletries. Food good, but overpriced. Cheapest wine £30+. Only 2 staff. Breakfast good quality and selection. Pleasant reception staff on leaving. Would go again, if on a deal.

DO NOT BOOK DURING SUMMER! No Air Conditioning and No Prior Notice We checked in on 9th July 2025, only to discover that the air conditioning was not working throughout the entire building. With outside temperatures north of 28°C , our room quickly became hot and uncomfortable. What was most frustrating is that we were given no advance warning about this issue. Had we been informed beforehand, we would have made alternative arrangements. For a hotel of this standard, the lack of communication and basic comfort is disappointing. Thankfully, after requesting to move hotels, we were issued a full refund and were able to relocate to the Hilton Reading, which has been far more comfortable. If you’re planning to stay here during the summer months, you may want to explore other options.

Disappointing Stay During Royal Ascot Week Stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton St Anne’s during Royal Ascot week, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what you’d expect from a Hilton brand. The shower in my room was broken and barely usable, the TV didn’t work, and despite advertising air conditioning, the room had none. When I asked at reception, I was told there was no air con in the building—yet friends staying in other rooms did have functioning AC. So either there’s a serious inconsistency or they’re just not being honest. Instead, I was handed a fan. On 30ºC days, that doesn’t cut it. The room was boiling and uncomfortable to sleep in. The food was also underwhelming—bland and below average. Overall, the stay was frustrating, especially during such a high-demand event week. Definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend.
