A unique feature is that this function space can be self-contained, with access via its own entrance as well as the hotel. Boasting its own exclusive bar, a spacious dance floor, dedicated kitchen, and a private entrance, the York Suite sets the stage for extraordinary events.
Conveniently located on the ground floor, the York Suite seamlessly combines the individual spaces of York 1, 2, and 3. This is a wonderful hotel all around. The rooms are very spacious and quiet and the beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Inclusive breakfast was always delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definately stay here again anytime.

Awesome stay here. As an anniversary stay they kindly upgraded to an even more luxury room, which was huge with large windows with a lake view. So that was superb, the bed was equally enormous and super comfy, soft yet firm and supporting. Excellent shower and bathroom with complimentary soaps etc. Kettle and teas etc in room which was nice. Breakfasts was delicious well made and lots of choice. Little bit confusing as we needed to wait to be seated and there are a few entrances to the dining areas. Hardly a complaint though as we were seated quick enough. Walked about the grounds to get a overview of the house. Interesting trees. Didn't seem to be an official way down to the lake, nor a path alongside it when we walked down to it, just brambles. Again not a complaint, just observation.

Wonderful short stay in this lovely hotel. Amazing food; dinner and breakfast. Great choice of breakfast and explored the grounds after the sumptuous breakfast to walk it off and take in the country air, which included a lake. Evening meal was the best we've had in a long time. Would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is huge, and spans a large area. Very impressive when you walk in. Our walk from the reception to our room was long and involved many stairs. We were there celebrating a special occasion. Our bed was decorated with swans and petals. The actual room that we were in was an executive room and was very big and spacious. It had all the amenities. However, our dinner was poor and did not live up to expectations. The meal was included in the deal, but most items had a supplement on them, which we though wasnt fair. The actual food was okay but not outstanding. Breakfast was standard. The hotel was not overly concerned when we raised this with them. All in all it was a decent stay but not outstanding.

I am upset and distressed because we stayed at this hotel 22-24 August 2025, a deposit fee was taken from my account. Reception staff explained it will be refunded within 7 working days. That time has passed on 3 September 2025. So, I called the reception, and I was told to email them. I sent an email on the 4 September 2025, and received no reply. I called again on 8 September and was told that the manager deals with this and is off. That’s reasonable, we all get ill. But I don’t understand why my deposit was not returned to me when the staff said it would be. For this reason I will score this hotel 1 star. I am worried that I won’t get my money back.
