We had an excellent meal here as part of a 2 night dine and stay. We thoroughly enjoyed trying a variety of small plates. Eight were included as part of our deal, six savoury and two sweet although I failed to finish my rum baba as I was too full. If I was to visit again I would definitely try to get a counter seat to be able to eat and observe the goings on in the kitchen.

Visited The Coach in Marlow yesterday for a birthday meal with a friend and had a really good experience overall. We were running a bit late but called ahead, and they were very accommodating. Our table was still kept for us which I really appreciated. The space is warm, clean, and feels elevated without being too formal. It’s an open kitchen so you can see the chefs in action, which adds to the whole experience. You can tell they enjoy what they’re doing, and it brings a really nice energy to the place. Food-wise, we kept it simple. We shared a starter and each had our own mains. Portions are slightly smaller than a typical pub, but it works. You leave feeling satisfied, not overly full. Service was attentive throughout and everything felt well-paced. Also appreciated the little birthday touch, it made the visit feel a bit more special. Overall, a really nice spot if you want something a bit more refined than your usual pub, but still relaxed and easy to enjoy.

Reservations are definitely recommended. We visited for a special occasion and enjoyed every moment of the experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between a traditional English pub and a high-end restaurant. The starters were absolutely outstanding and, in our opinion, even better than the mains. We had the Caesar salad, the cauliflower cheese soup, and the bread served with smoked garlic butter - each dish was beautifully prepared and packed with flavour. We enjoyed the main meals less - hence the 4 stars for food.
