About Venue
Set at the head of Dorking’s famed High Street, amidst the rolling Hills of the North Downs and Surrey’s world-famous Denbies Vineyard Estate, The White Horse was restored to its former Dickensian glory following a £4 million refurbishment in 2018. Combined with 56 en-suite bedrooms, 3 function spaces, extensive dining facilities including The Dozen restaurant and bar concept (inspired by Charles Dickens (who was reported to have written some of the Pickwick papers whilst staying here many years ago) showcases classic cocktails, local ales and wines make it a perfect venue for meetings and events in Surrey.
The Pickwick room is a semi private space located on the ground floor and is ideal for meetings, events
and functions. It has natural daylight and is adjacent to the cafe and bar.

A very special place to stay in the heart of Dorking. Our room was perfect with lots of thoughtful touches. Breakfast was excellent and the atmosphere in the evening was warm and inviting. We will definitely return.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here today. We were gifted vouchers and it was the first time my wife and I have had Sunday lunch out together since our baby was born (9 months ago). The service and food were perfect. Good portions and quality. We booked for 2pm as we didn't want to disrupt people if our child was restless. It was still super busy and a great atmosphere. Our server Emily, was attentive, efficient and friendly checking in on us regularly without being intrusive. Usually a little apprehensive about the quality of a roast dinner at this time in the afternoon but needn't have worried...it was all delicious. The beetroot and cheese souffle were fresh and tasty. And my wife's duck confit was perfect. Will recommend and will return. THANK YOU.

Lovely lunch sitting in the pretty, quiet courtyard garden. Really charming, helpful staff. Delicious food, speedy service. Charming, beautiful old Coaching Inn right on Dorking High Street. The toilets/ washrooms exceptional! Highly recommend. An Oasis

A few toiletries missing.from room on arrival but promptly sorted. Room (41) situated above parking area and outside drinking area could be rather noisy at night. Restaurant, food and waiting staff all very good, with a special mention for Caitlin who looked after us with care and all things that make a meal out an enjoyable experience.
