Stayed two nights for a family funeral, rooms were good, very comfortable bed and nice modern shower with very hot water, very quiet, slept very well. Staff were lovely, massive sandwiches from the restaurant

Stayed while splitting a long journey. Good location in that context. Service throughout was excellent. Sam on the desk was professional and friendly. David and Reji in the dining room were very friendly too. Food was good value, good quality and plentiful. The (last minute) room rate we got was a steal. If I'm doing a long trip on this route again I will definitely book again. It's refreshing to have good value and good service.

Just had a weekend stay here whilst visiting The Beamish Museum and Durham itself (the park and ride is great). The hotel is a perfect location for both of these places. There is ample parking and you are back on the motorway within minutes. All of the staff were very friendly especially in the restaurant where we were told that if we wanted to use the set 3 course menu we could have two desserts instead of a starter. Excellent idea. The food was lovely too and plenty of choice for breakfast. There was a wedding on Saturday night so we sat in the bar area and listened to their great song list - free entertainment! We thought the hotel would be noisy on the night with tipsy wedding guests but didn't hear a thing. The hotel is dog friendly but despite seeing several dogs in the carpark there was no barking in the hotel. It was a thoroughly nice weekend.

Really handy, just off the motorway. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and tidy. Room service available. Varied food choice including Jam sandwich on kids menu for fussier eaters like our son. Good breakfast options.

Good location near motorway and in-between to two cities. Ample parking and disabled friendly access throughout. Nice aesthetic, plenty of space, well stocked bar and comfortable reception area. Staff attentive and generally a lovely atmosphere about the place. Rooms clean and modern with usual facilities, I didn't notice a usb charging port. My pillow wasn't great but was too tired to ask for replacement. Otherwise a very comfortable and welcome stay, 10/10 very reasonably priced. 😍
