My husband is disabled and this hotel fulfilled all his needs and was the best one we've found. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was perfect, couldn't have been better. The food was good although the fried eggs could have been better, too long sat on the heated trays. An extra stool in the bathroom would have been helpful for my husband to sit at the sink to clean his teeth etc but overall extremely good.

4* hotel with 5 star service ✅ Came here on a organised coach tour. We were shown to our clean and quiet room. The beds were really comfortable, everything you need for a weekend stay. Breakfast was a buffet service, hot and delicious!. 3-course meal in the evenings was also delicious.

Had one night stay at the hotel. The staff is nice and helpful, check in and out is very smooth. The hotel is very easy to find, has good parking and very quick access to the A1 motorway. The hotel has a nice little bar and restaurant with good seatings. The hotel is clean and tidy same as the room. No closed air in room, the king size bed is very comfy, wifi works very good. The hotel's location comes in very handy if you visiting the Beamish Living Museum which is appprocimately 10 minutes drive. More channel that can be viewed on tv would be good.

Went here on a Red Letter Day a lovely present from my family, unfortunately it wasn't as nice as it was made out to be, room was OK but we were kept awake with a loud humming noise from the bathroom extractor fan for the whole building I fear, then there was the lovely meal (not quite) it was dismal, we were told there would be a wait as some staff shortage all I can think of it must of been the chef, over cooked chicken tenders, but the main meal killed it burnt potatoes grilled chicken to tough to cut and some sort of lemon sauce, I did ask the waiter what it was on my plate as I couldn't make it out myself, my husband got a sad looking ham egg and chips a broken hard egg, they did try to offer another meal but from what we had been offered I couldn't imagine what they could make the dessert was a cheap flat cheesecake like something from a pound shop, which would nbe fine is you hadn't traveled 300 miles and paid top dollar for the special day they took a drink of the bill as a sorry, do disappointed won't be back or recommending this hotel, and just to say I have stayed in holiday inns before and they have been great not this one
