Our stay at The Lygon Arms was a wonderful experience and truly felt like stepping back in time. Staying in a room that was over 650 years old was something very special — full of charm, character, and history while still being comfortable and welcoming. Every corner of the hotel reflects its rich heritage and unique atmosphere. The bar area was especially lovely, with a warm and inviting feel that made it the perfect place to relax in the evening. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating areas, which were peaceful and beautifully maintained, adding even more to the charm of the property. The Lygon Arms is exactly the kind of historic English inn you hope to find in the Cotswolds — elegant, atmospheric, and memorable. We would gladly stay again.

What a great place to stay! We spent three nights at this hotel. The staff were great and the rooms were lovely. It was our dog's first holiday. The hotel is very dog friendly, and there were dogs all over the place and it is doggy heaven. There is a garden for the dogs to play in as well. We were provided with a dog bed, dog treats, a dog toy and dog bowls. Everyone was giving our dog attention and he loved it. The pool and spa were nice. We had a 60 minute full body massage and that was great too, very relaxing.

If you're coming to visit the Cotswolds and you want a memorable experience, the Lygon Arms is for you. The main hotel itself is a honey-stone yellow Cotswold building and is absolutely stunning. It could never be described as cheap but it is memorable. Ideal for that special occasion or wedding anniversary weekend away. My single room was comfortable with a four poster comfortable bed, the hotel is old yes, with the earliest records dating back to 1377. The main building as you see it now dates back to 1620, old yes, but well maintained. The food is excellent the wine menu extensive and the service fantastic. Enjoy a snack or a coffee in the Fabulous courtyard. A visit to the Lygon Arms will be something you will be talking about for many years to come.

Fantastic location and buildings. Outside seating area on a sunny day is a wonderful place to have a drink. Our room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. However the wardrobe didn't close properly and the bathroom could have done with a bit of care and attention. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had breakfast in the morning. All was good on that front, quality, options and quantity all fine. Service slightly slow, but who's in a hurry on a Sunday morning! Would definitely stay here again

When I stayed at this hotel in June, I left my car with the hotel reception staff. Despite this, I later received a GBP 100 Parking Charge Notice from ParkingEye. In addition, I paid my bar bill at the bar before leaving. However, the charge was added to my bill again at check-out. A member of the hotel staff told me that a refund would be processed, but despite several follow-up emails, I have received any response and the refund has not been made as of today. I am currently appealing the ParkingEye charge and am also disputing the bar charge with my card issuer. It has now been almost a month since my stay, yet the hotel has failed to resolve either issue or provide any meaningful assistance. Please be aware of these problems if you are considering staying at this hotel. On the bright side, my stay didn't end at check-out—it turned into a complimentary course in parking appeals, credit card disputes, and unanswered emails. That's one hotel service I definitely wasn't expecting!
