Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel & Spa, The Hopwood Suite

Stayed here for 2 weeks and that is my second 2 week stay this year. First week the room was small, like Harry Potters cupboard under the stairs small but had all the amenities still. Was clean, well stocked and did exactly what I needed it to do but was too small to relax in after a hard day's work. I didn't dine in the restaurant, not because the food wasn't nice, I ate in their on my previous visit and it was delicious but I did venture out this time. The second best bit about the stay? Breakfast, not only was breakfast delicious, always well stocked but they REALLY need a new coffee machine! The number 1 thing...CAROL K...She was outstanding! SOOOO funny, but lovely too. Made coming down on a morning a pleasure. No plans to go to Manchester again soon but would happily stay there to go and see Carol K again.

We held the UK Nail Excellence Awards at The Norton Grange and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The room looked stunning — beautifully set up and perfect for the occasion. The staff were brilliant all evening, so attentive and friendly, especially Mohammed, who went above and beyond to look after us all night. The food was outstanding — we had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious it was. Everything ran so smoothly, and the whole team made the night truly special. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for such an important event. Thank you to everyone at The Norton for helping make the night unforgettable!

Had our family Christmas get together here 5th Dec 2025. Party night. What an absolutely pleasant surprise fron start to finish. Very pleasant and efficient check in. Lovely, clean room with tea, coffee etc and biscuits (so many places have stopped providing). Staff all lovely and helpful. Reasonable priced bar with a happy hour at the start. Professional seating and dinner service. Best Christmas Dinner we've ever had at a party function. Started with a delicious cheese soufflé. Don't know how they managed that for such a large room. Main meal of turkey served on hot plates and was all delicious. Dessert was lovely too. Bags of sweets laid on through the night. Disco was fun with a great dj who kept the party atmosphere going. Such a lovely breakfast laid on with absolutely everything you could want and all delicious. Then check out is 12 so we got to enjoy the lovely spa and pool which is excellent. Will definitely be back!
