The Moorlands Inn Marquee is a stunning and unique wedding venue. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, it overlooks some of the most spectacular views of rolling fields and blossoming moors.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, the Marquee can hold your whole wedding celebration under one roof! Offering seating for up to 200 guests, a private bar and reception area, outdoor patio, toilet facilities, outdoor BBQ/Hog Roast shelter, DJ booth, stage and a twinkling star lit dancefloor, the Marquee is an exclusive venue for you and your guests to enjoy!
Here at The Moorlands we do not do rigid set packages with the expensive price tag. With years of experience we understand that no two weddings are the same and so our wedding coordinators work with you both in order to tailor your special day to suit your personal specifications. No question is too big or too little in the run up to your big day!
Whatever the size of your wedding, our accomplished team of chefs have a catering option available for you. Whether it's a comprehensive catering package you are looking for, with a drink reception, canapes, four course wedding breakfast and toast, followed by an evening reception with a served buffet, or carvey; or less formal options like pie and peas, afternoon tea, a buffet, BBQ or hog roast, we can cater for you!
With beautiful cottages and a little hotel 0.3 miles away and the city centre of Halifax itself just 3.5 miles down the road, accommodation is not a problem when it comes to marrying at The Moorlands.
We also have options for wedding extras such as a Magic Mirror Photobooth, 'MR & MRS' light up letters, cocktail flarer, casino tables, DJ, live bands, sweet cart, old fashioned post box, ice sculptures and much, much more!
Please note, our other venue: The Loft, is perfect for a more intimate wedding celebration. With it's beautiful exposed brickwork and beams, The Loft has it's own private bar as well as toilet facilities and a balcony. It can accommodate up to 60 seated or 80 standing guests, and is also licensed to hold civil ceremonies. Many of our brides and grooms marry in The Loft then continue their celebration next door in the beautiful marquee! Perfect for those wanting to minimise travel on their big day!

We had a really tasty three course meal, at a reasonable price. The service was prompt and helpful. On the moors near Keighley, so in the summer, this place must even more delightful.

We came here as a large group last Saturday and the food was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, reasonably priced and had huge portion sizes. The staff were also so attentive and lovely!

I was booked in for a Christmas meal with a party of staff. The menu was a limited choice and we were told we couldnt have 2 courses if the majority had booked 3 courses. My main was described as a steak pie on the menu , hardly a pie 🥧 it was a steak slice presented as a dollop of salty meat with a small square of pastry on top. My friends vegetarian sausages looked like something out of a childrens plastic BBQ set ...a very strange colour too, even my dog was reluctant to eat the doggy bag l took home. The meal was below average but thankfully the entertainment and atmosphere made up for it.

Had the steak pie as it was best seller. It was tiny and a bit dry, not enough gravy. It’s quite expensive so I was expecting more . The room was a bit cold and uninviting.
