The Moorlands Inn Marquee is a stunning and unique wedding venue. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, it overlooks some of the most spectacular views of rolling fields and blossoming moors.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, the Marquee can hold your whole wedding celebration under one roof! Offering seating for up to 200 guests, a private bar and reception area, outdoor patio, toilet facilities, outdoor BBQ/Hog Roast shelter, DJ booth, stage and a twinkling star lit dancefloor, the Marquee is an exclusive venue for you and your guests to enjoy!
Here at The Moorlands we do not do rigid set packages with the expensive price tag. With years of experience we understand that no two weddings are the same and so our wedding coordinators work with you both in order to tailor your special day to suit your personal specifications. No question is too big or too little in the run up to your big day!
Whatever the size of your wedding, our accomplished team of chefs have a catering option available for you. Whether it's a comprehensive catering package you are looking for, with a drink reception, canapes, four course wedding breakfast and toast, followed by an evening reception with a served buffet, or carvey; or less formal options like pie and peas, afternoon tea, a buffet, BBQ or hog roast, we can cater for you!
With beautiful cottages and a little hotel 0.3 miles away and the city centre of Halifax itself just 3.5 miles down the road, accommodation is not a problem when it comes to marrying at The Moorlands.
We also have options for wedding extras such as a Magic Mirror Photobooth, 'MR & MRS' light up letters, cocktail flarer, casino tables, DJ, live bands, sweet cart, old fashioned post box, ice sculptures and much, much more!
Please note, our other venue: The Loft, is perfect for a more intimate wedding celebration. With it's beautiful exposed brickwork and beams, The Loft has it's own private bar as well as toilet facilities and a balcony. It can accommodate up to 60 seated or 80 standing guests, and is also licensed to hold civil ceremonies. Many of our brides and grooms marry in The Loft then continue their celebration next door in the beautiful marquee! Perfect for those wanting to minimise travel on their big day!

Our daughter had her wedding reception here in April. It was a super occasion. The marquee room looked wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone praised the food and the service. We were blessed with lovely weather so people could go outside onto the balcony and garden. Having its own car park complete with attendant was great. The quantity and quality of the evening finger buffet was also beyond our expectations. Thank you for a brilliant day!

Our wedding reception The day started a little slippy, with me being 25 minutes late to the church, but from then on out, it was perfection! We were so fortunate with the weather which enabled us to be able to use the whole area on offer. Megan was a dream, and just got on with everything to make it feel seamless, and even if it wasn't Elliot and myself were not aware of any hiccups. Through the whole process from booking almost 2 years ago, to the day itself, everything was so easy. Communication was brilliant and we knew where we stood throughout the whole process, and you guys helped us with ideas when we had none! The food throughout the day was beautiful, and the evening food was exquisite. The guests commented and continue to do so about how nice the food was. It's the things like that that made such a difference to the day. The little touches...stunning! Thank you again so much for allowing us to have our wedding with you, and we wish you all the best in becoming a bigger and better wedding venue in Yorkshire...you're making great leaps already to make it a one stop shop for all wedding needs. We booked a table for a surprise baby shower. It was great, they let us put balloons up and held some cupcakes in the back for us so we could surprise mum. Food was delicious!
